I dedicate these blogs to all the new entrants to this healthcare industry
From youngsters, joining the GP surgery to gain work experience, for part-time or full time employment and to all other persons, when a change of career is envisaged.
This picture was taken while visiting a Tiger sanctuary near Bangkok. Even though I was walking the tiger, this could not be accomplished without the trainer walking beside, along with scores of people around, should the tiger were to react to deer and pigs moving around in the vicinity.
GP surgery management rules and procedures are akin to a jungle and there are so many aspects to be aware of. Staff in the surgery need help from all those around e.g. GPs, Nurses, Practice Managers (in case of receptionists and other staff reporting to him), Healthcare Professionals, PCT/CCG, Pharmacists, Health visitors, hospital contacts and scores of others. Once this is understood, appreciated, cultivated and nurtured then one can perform the tasks very well in this healthcare industry.
